Lena Aboujamous

I am a woman and an artist, guided by intuition, emotion, and a lifelong need to create. Painting is how I process the world—its softness and its chaos, its quiet moments and its intensity. My work is rooted in exploration: of feeling, of form, and of the stories that live beneath the surface.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, drawn to the medium’s versatility and immediacy. Acrylic allows me to move quickly, to layer color and texture in ways that feel both deliberate and instinctive. I enjoy the balance between control and freedom, letting the paint respond to my gestures while still shaping it with intention.
Alongside painting, I use charcoal as a more raw and intimate language. Charcoal speaks in contrast—light and shadow, presence and absence. It allows me to strip an idea down to its essence, focusing on emotion, movement, and form without distraction. Where acrylic feels expansive, charcoal feels honest and direct.
As a woman, my perspective shapes everything I create. My art reflects sensitivity, strength, vulnerability, and resilience—often all at once. I am inspired by human emotion, internal landscapes, and the unspoken moments that define us. Creating is not just a practice for me; it is a necessity, a way of understanding myself and connecting with others.
Through my work, I invite viewers to pause, feel, and see themselves reflected in texture, line, and color.
