Martin Krogh

Martin Krogh is a mixed-media assemblage artist whose work explores transformation through layered materials and physical reconstruction. Working with found and reclaimed objects, he builds dimensional pieces that balance intuition, experimentation, and material history. His practice embraces revision and risk, often dismantling and reassembling work to arrive at unexpected outcomes. Through tactile surfaces and bold mark-making, he creates objects that reflect both personal experience and the surrounding environment.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work begins with curiosity and accumulation—ideas, materials, fragments, and influences gathered from everyday life and creative exchange. I work across multiple pieces at once, allowing them to evolve in parallel. I layer mediums intuitively, paying attention to what feels resolved and what needs to be disrupted.
When a piece loses energy, I take it apart. Destruction becomes a tool for discovery, opening the door to new configurations I wouldn’t have planned. This process keeps the work honest and surprising. The finished pieces are physical, textured, and imperfect—mirroring how I move through the world and make sense of it.
