Masood Omer
Masood Omer is an artist from Richmond Hill, Ontario but was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Masood paints and draws almost every day, and he creates impressionistic landscapes and cityscapes using allaprima techniques. He has three diplomas in Fine Art, two are from Pakistan’s Central Institute of Arts and Crafts in painting and in sculpture, and the third is from the Central Technical School in Toronto. Masood’s work has been shown both in Canada and internationally. Masood paints and draws plein air and from photographs. Masood uses vibrant colours and rich, deep, textures in his art. As part of his process, he makes many small preparatory drawings prior to moving onto the final piece.

I LOVE COLOUR, TEXTURE, PAINTY PAINT. MY PAINTINGS ARE EVOLVED OVER A PERIOD OF TIME AND IT MAY TAKE A CONSIDERABLE TIME FOR A PAINTING TO DO THAT. MY COLOURS WORK WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF DESIGN AND COMPOSITION IN MY WORK, AND A DEVELOPED COMPOSITION ENSURES THE SUCCESS OF MY COLOURFUL PAINTING
