Mirren Hinchley
Mirren Hinchley is an emerging, abstract painter, who after retiring from the corporate world, wanted to do something different, to reinvent herself. Just over 5 years ago, she took up acrylic painting and she has never looked back. Her painting process is based on experiential learning, and it has allowed her to find a direct voice to her inner feelings. She has been able to let herself go and express her creativity every time she starts a new canvas. She wants her paintings to make a statement and to provoke the viewer to think and talk about what they have just seen. She has exhibited in art shows in Toronto and abroad including the 2023 International Artists Project, Toronto at the Gallery 1313 group show booth. She has mounted solo shows at Propeller Art Gallery, Gallery 1313 and this year at the Catherine Shea Art Studio, San Miguel, Mexico. Her artwork has been featured at the Elaine Fleck Art Gallery. Toronto and the Leslie Grove Gallery, Toronto and galleries in Milan, the UK and Venice. Her work is currently available at the Dennison Art Gallery, Toronto.
