My name is Mónica Rodríguez, and I am a Colombian artist living in Canada. I’m also a mother of two, and art has always been part of who I am. Although I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember, it wasn’t until about eleven years ago that I found the courage to pick up a paintbrush and begin creating.

I’m a self-taught artist, and everything I know has been learned through experience, curiosity, and a passion for painting. I work mainly with acrylics, using texture and palette knives to bring my ideas to life.

Nature, faith, my family, and human emotions are my greatest sources of inspiration. I don’t paint in search of perfection. Instead, I paint to express what I feel and to recreate the beauty and emotions I perceive in the world around me.

For me, every painting tells a story, and my hope is that each piece invites others to pause, feel something, and connect with it in their own unique way.
