Queer mad artist working primarily in embroidery with some additional interest in pencils, inks, and digital illustration
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Inspired by mythology and folklore, my style incorporates dark surrealism, horror, pinup art, memento mori, kawaii influence and humour, and centres my vision of feminine entities who exist as a rebuttal to ableist, heterosexist and patriarchal norms. My work often explores the theme of mortality, seeking to transform trauma into something beautiful, meaningful, funny, and empowered.

Blood + Soot is a more abstract figure whose body is packed with spirals. I think this figure is quite joyous, to me she's dancing, but she also seems raw and vulnerable. In her body I see both flowers and raw tissue. She is both sides- negative and positive, death and life, joy and trauma.
