Oswald Maxime known under the name "JAYMAX", is a Montreal based artist originally from Cameroon. He is a self-taught artist and discovered his passion for arts at a young age, as an introvert this is his way of expressing his thoughts and feelings. He started practicing by watching videos on youtube. His art is a mixture of different styles like expressionism, abstract, realism, pop art, textile art and he also do murals. His principal medium is airbrush and acrylic painting. Throughout his career, he had participated in numerous art exhibitions, competitions and have worked on various clothing collections. This piece is called "Rebirth" sign of resilience, the phoenix symbolizes immortality and resurrection. The flames colour used demonstrates the power, passionate love and energy which overshadow traumas, from which I got inspired for this piece.
