Peyton Rockel (pey) is a mixed media artist and garment designer based in Edmonton, AB. Working predominantly with acrylic paint and pastels, her work is influenced by process, mistakes, playfulness, and the sensual feelings of returning back to the distinct pleasures that are cultivated by experiencing flow state in ourselves and others.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I wish to capture intrigue, mystery, playfulness, and sheer subjectivity with my current series "something to look at." This series is essentially inspired by the essence of the passionate state of flow that can be witnessed when watching a rockstar play a show, and could be considered a spiritual catalyst that has ignited my bold and unapologetic venture into full pursuit of daily consistent process of creativity that I desire to share.
