Rebecca Wynia
Rebecca Wynia graduated from Bethel University with a double major in Visual Arts Education and Spanish Education, K-12 licenses. She worked abroad many years, from volunteering and teaching Visual Arts and English language in a drug rehabilitation and children’s home for minors in Northern Mexico, to later teaching Visual Arts and English language and literature in a private school in Switzerland. Her marriage to a Mexican national, undergoing immigration in multiple countries, and leading a multilingual, multicultural family life have highly influenced who she is today as both an individual and an artist.

This painting is inspired from Memories of Montreux, Switzerland and Legends of Eysturoy, The Faroe Islands. Layers upon layers of acrylic paint have been applied to canvas to build up its story.
