ROAM

ROAM is a visual artist and muralist whose work explores the intersection of technology, nature, intertwined with paranormal and extraterrestrial influences. Primarily working with aerosol and acrylic marker, their abstract style blends elements of sci-fi/fantasy art, cyberpunk, cartoons (anime/manga) and graffiti, resulting in geometric, morphing patterns that depict a sort of technological storm, parallel dimensions, and the enduring beauty found in the human spirit. Recently, a interest in blueprints, maps, machine cross-sections, circuit boards, and computer chips, have characterized the overall layout of his work.

Of late their art often incorporates symbolic elements or scenes in small pockets of detail within a larger, more ambiguous landscape. Their art celebrates the vastness of the unknown, accompanied by the fatalistic drive of late stage capitalism.

Since 2022, ROAM has painted over 60 commissioned murals in dt Toronto, the U.S, and France. Some of their major influences are Roberto Madda, Denise Thomasos, Mediah, H.R Giger, HERA, Katsuhiro Otomo, Fatspatrol, Hieronymus Bosch, Kawajiri Yoshiaki, Moebius, Squidlicker, and Death Burger.

ROAM has collaborated with other artists on canvas and wall. In 2024, they volunteered to paint a diy community based skateboard park and with the help of Street Art Toronto, was able to restore color into their community. They have also worked in conjunction with various BIAs on murals.

Their recent "Main Lines" series showcases a cyberpunk aesthetic, characterized by neon and white outlines.

In 2026 they are working on a larger canvas scale, focusing on a aerial phenomenon photography series and preparing mural concepts for the '26 season.
