ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I've always thought that everything that is art has a hidden message and finding it is the main point of admiring it. Most of the pieces that I make stem from an underlying emotion that I had felt on the day I got my inspiration. I believe that whenever someone sees one of my pieces, I'm at my most vulnerable as my ideology is that art that mixes emotions with it, eventually portrays the soul of the artist.

One of the most important things in the world is beauty, but the premise of beauty can never be objective. Thus that's where the sentence that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder came through. I've always found that the most "beautiful" and captivating part of a person's physical appearance are their eyes. In this case although it might be somber or dark, there is a beauty and fear in the darkness as the unknown is still yet unknown.

I had woken up after a dream in the middle of the night and had decided to just get up and draw as if it were an unconscious response to being in distress. I attribute this piece to my darkest days, however, I consider it to be one of the best ones I've ever done.

This piece is shows how an emotion is so freely able to convert into another. I had made this piece as a simplistic way of showing my emotions, it is invertible and can be framed in whatever way your heart so truly desires, the message that you recieve is unique to you.

I made this in the beginning of my discovery of love for nudes. It may look unfinished, however, that is the whole point. It's called empowerment which is the "process" of becoming stronger, and it is not the end of the line. (The Blue is just light pollution and not actually part of the painting) (price will not change once framed)
