Sara Parsaee is a Vancouver-based artist and graphic designer. She studied Graphic Design at Tehran Institute of Technology before continuing her education in Malaysia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Game Art Development and a Master of Arts in Digital Film & Television from Limkokwing University. Her artistic practice developed alongside her career in graphic design and is characterized by detailed acrylic paintings created through thousands of individually placed dots. Her work explores movement, emotion, rhythm, and symbolic forms through intricate patterns and vibrant colour. Sara has exhibited her work internationally, including exhibitions in London, and currently lives and works in Vancouver, Canada.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My paintings explore colour, rhythm, movement, and emotion through intricate patterns and thousands of individually placed acrylic dots. I am interested in the way small, repeated marks can come together to create movement, depth, and a larger visual experience. My process is slow and detailed, allowing each dot to become part of a carefully constructed composition. Inspired by nature, organic forms, and the emotional qualities of colour, I create works that invite viewers to look closely and discover new details within the overall image. Through repetition and pattern, I aim to create a sense of energy, harmony, and visual connection.
