ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My art is a reflection of the world I see
and the emotions I carry within it. I
am drawn to stories that speak of
identity, culture, and survival, the
everyday realities that shape who we
are as Africans. Through oil and
acrylic, I translate these stories into
colours and textures that speak louder
than words.
Each stroke is deliberate, each layer a
memory. I use texture to show depth,
not only of form but of feeling, the
kind that connects people across
distance and experience. My works
explore strength, beauty, and
resilience, reminding us that even in
struggle, there is grace.
Art, to me, is both expression and
preservation. It is how I celebrate
where I come from and question
where we are going. Every canvas
becomes a conversation, one that
begins with me, but belongs to
everyone who sees themselves in it.
