ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The process of creating my work is an organic one. The history and time of the creation of each art piece are crucial to me, and I keep the impulse of the emergence of an idea till the last brush stroke. My paintings seek to capture a fleeting moment or emotion while celebrating the joy of making.
Whether making a painting or drawing, I allow the elements I create to ‘appear’ on the surface of the canvas or paper.
My approach is mainly intuitive; the paintings unfold and develop almost of their own accord, and I aim to invite the viewer to find an emotional connection within the painting.

"Northern Orchids 2," another key piece in the "Standing Up" series, represents a more delicate aspect of the northern wilderness. Locals led us to secluded spots in the woods and wetlands where these remarkable orchids bloom—a rare sight so far north. This experience left a lasting impression, as these fragile yet resilient flowers represent the hidden wonders of northern nature.
I chose to portray the delicate beauty of these flowers through softer, more gentle hues, in contrast to the bolder colors of other works. The vertical lines in the composition evoke the trunks of trees, perhaps fallen or cut, while the orchids stand out against this backdrop. These are not literal depictions of specific orchid species but a personal interpretation of their surprising presence in an unexpected place.
Through this work, I aim to draw attention to the remarkable beauty of northern ecosystems and the impact of human activities on them. Towering pines and delicate orchids are vital parts of the same ecosystem. The simplified, almost graphic forms in the painting emphasize the vulnerability and purity of these natural treasures.

This series, begun during an art residency in Northern Canada’s Temagami region, is inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and the ecological challenges threatening the White Bear Forest. Immersed in conversations with local residents and Indigenous peoples, I was introduced to the unique beauty of the area’s white and red pine forests, as well as its wild northern orchids. These paintings reflect my impressions of the natural environment and are dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving these fragile ecosystems from threats like wildfires and deforestation.

The artwork presents a vibrant fusion of colors and dynamic forms, offering an abstract interpretation of a natural landscape. Immersed in abstraction, I channeled emotional energy into every brushstroke, inviting viewers to engage and interpret the scene through their own perspectives. Interwoven elements, resembling trees and foliage, blend with geometric shapes in a harmonious tapestry of cool blues and greens contrasted with warm bursts of yellows, reds, and purples. The layered techniques create depth and movement, reflecting nature's chaotic yet balanced beauty. The vivid palette and rhythmic interplay of shapes evoke a celebration of nature’s vitality.

The vibrant, bold acrylic hues and fluid, abstract forms in the composition are visually striking and a call to action, infusing the artwork with a sense of urgency and life while drawing attention. This urgency is a call for collective responsibility and action.
At its heart, a circular shape—symbolizing the sun, the cycle of time, and the planet Earth—comprises overlapping segments in vibrant blues, greens, oranges, reds, and purples, celebrating the beauty and diversity of natural ecosystems. Surrounding this circle, tall, slender trees stretch upwards in cool and warm tones, embodying both the serenity and the chaotic balance found in nature, inviting viewers to marvel at the world around them.
I aim to capture nature's unseen, rhythmic pulse and continuous growth by incorporating swirling patterns and sharp lines. The vitality in the artwork symbolizes the beauty and complexity of natural landscapes. At the same time, the balanced interplay of order and chaos encourages viewers to contemplate humanity's role in this delicate equilibrium.

This oil painting explores time, transformation, and individuality through a harmonious blend of blue, yellow, and earthy brown tones( contrast:warm/cold and neitural color).. The soft, transparent background transitions seamlessly between colors, creating an ethereal foundation
At the top, a blooming branch of golden-yellow acacia takes center stage, its vibrant flowers interspersed with one or two distinct white and pale blue blossoms. These unique flowers, each outlined with care, subtly separate themselves from the rest, symbolizing quiet individuality within the collective and inviting our admiration.
Horizontal stripes in the same palette cut across the canvas, partially obscuring the branch and extending downward. These bands create a sense of suspension as if the middle section floats between the grounded bottom and airy top.
At the base, dried brown acacia pods rest, textured and weathered, signifying the culmination of nature’s cycle. Among them lies a single, vibrant blue pod. Though its form is familiar, its striking color quietly draws the eye, symbolizing the tension between blending in and standing apart, inviting us to contemplate our place in the world.
The painting reflects the natural cycle of life: flowers bloom from seeds, and seeds emerge after flowering. This inevitable progression reminds us that another will follow, no matter our current state. It is beyond our power to alter this rhythm, underscoring the harmony of change and continuity in life’s eternal dance.

We can feel the magic in the air when the first winter breeze blows through the trees. Winter season is coming, and with it, an exceptional mood is coming; we are allowed time to slow down, we become quiet and thoughtful, nature seems to freeze... we enjoy and appreciate every moment.

What does spring mean? It is when we remember the first fragile flowers, the first soft touch, the first look, and the smile the air is filled with tenderness. In this delicate portrayal, a scene encapsulates the essence of this season of rebirth. Amidst a soothing palette of soft pinks that evoke the gentlest blush of dawn, a woman's hand gracefully touches to caress a bouquet. Each brushstroke on the canvas is a testament to sophistication and elegance, capturing the subtle interplay between light and shadow.
As the petals cradle the touch of the hand, there's a connection woven between nature's blossoms and the human spirit. The bouquet, a collection of nature's most ephemeral wonders, becomes a metaphor for life's fleeting moments. The softness of the hues harmonizes with the intricate, bold brushwork, creating an ambiance of refined beauty that invites contemplation. This piece is an ode to the tenderness of spring, where the world awakens anew, and the air seems to echo the delicate touch of the woman's hand—a touch that transforms the ephemeral into timeless art.

Every year, the cold of winter melts away, and spring brings a new beginning...and new blooming. It is the season of the beginning, hope, new life, and unique beauty to all. Spring comes with a fresh and vibrant palette, which creates an atmosphere of optimism and romance. Painting spring flowers is always an inspiration; it is a tireless search for colors and shapes that are pleasing to everyone that comes with the first flowers in our life in spring. I want to display the smell of the first flowers and the spring wind, the sun's rays and the glare on the puddles, the state of hope and optimism.

Combining such a recognizable earthly shape of sunflowers and deep, pure color helps me create an atmosphere of contemplation and knowledge of the world and myself.
The loose brushstrokes add to the painting's sense of freedom, spontaneity, and impression power, suggesting that it was more interested in capturing the spirit of the moment than in achieving photorealism.

Traveling in South China, I ended up there in season pomelo harvest. They were everywhere ...it seemed the whole area turned into a pomelo market. I didn't see before how this fantastic fruit grows. They fascinated me with their appearance, long thin string, and great huge pearlike shape at the end. Already there I knew that when I returned, I would paint them. And It should be something very simple and at the same time inviting.

As an artist, "Color of Spring" is a painting that represents the arrival of the season of renewal and growth. The painting captures the essence of the first spring flowers, the ones that we wait so eagerly for after the long, dreary winter. These flowers are special because they bring hope, light, and joy to our lives.
The use of vibrant colors in the painting, such as blue, purpele, white and greens, convey the feeling of freshness and new beginnings. The delicate petals of the flowers, the softness of the grass are all captured in a way that speaks to the viewer's heart. The brushstrokes are loose and free, creating a sense of movement and liveliness, runing fresh water that is fitting for a spring scene.
The scene depicted in the painting is a symbol of the arrival of spring and all that it brings, the first flowers are a sign of hope and new life, they represent the promise of better things to come. The painting is not only a visual representation of spring but also a reminder of the beauty and wonder of nature. It's a celebration of the arrival of spring and all the color and life it brings to the world.
