ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My practice explores memory, identity, and the emotional landscapes that shape human experience. Through painting and mixed media, I translate personal narratives into visual form, weaving fragments of the past and present into imagery that feels both intimate and universal. I am interested in moments of stillness, reflection, and quiet transformation, spaces where emotion lingers beneath the surface.
My process moves between careful planning and instinctive expression. At times, structure and precision guide my work; at others, raw emotion takes over, allowing intuition to lead. Vivid colour, layered textures, and meticulous detail are central to my visual language, inviting viewers to pause and consider their own inner experiences in relation to the work.
For me, art is both a discipline and a sanctuary, a place to question, to process, and to transform lived experience into meaning. Each piece becomes an opportunity to navigate vulnerability, connection, and storytelling, using visual language as a way to foster reflection, dialogue, and emotional resonance.
