Victoria Kart is a contemporary artist based in Edmonton, Canada. She developed a passion for drawing and painting at an early age and spent many years exploring art throughout her school years, where she cultivated a strong interest in color and expressive visual language.

Her work focuses on vibrant interpretations of nature, including landscapes, water, forests, and wildlife. Rather than depicting nature realistically, Victoria interprets it through dynamic brushwork and luminous color palettes, creating scenes that convey atmosphere, movement, and emotional connection to the natural world.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Through my paintings I seek to capture the emotional atmosphere of nature. I am inspired by landscapes, water, forests, and wildlife, and I translate these elements into expressive compositions filled with color, light, and movement.

Rather than focusing on realistic representation, I explore how color and brushwork can communicate the feeling of being present in nature. I am particularly interested in the way light interacts with water, trees, and sky, creating moments of harmony and quiet energy.

Using acrylic paints and layered brushstrokes, I build vibrant scenes that invite the viewer to slow down and experience the beauty and emotional depth of the natural world.
