Vidhya Srijesh, based in Oshawa is a Visual artist who specializes in wildlife art, though she paints almost everything that inspires her. Born and raised in India, Vidhya grew up surrounded by the vibrant colors and textures of their culture. Today, those same influences can be seen in bold and striking artwork. I enjoy observing how the many textures and patterns on each animal combine to create those stunning creatures. Additionally, experimenting with various color schemes to find which ones work best is a lot of fun.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Whether it's a majestic elephant or a tiny bird, I strive to capture the essence of each animal and bring it to life in a burst of color. Animals have a way of bringing joy and positivity into our lives, and capturing that energy through art makes me fearless and love myself. My goal is to not only create beautiful works of art but to raise awareness and foster a deeper connection to the amazing creatures that share our world. I hope to inspire others to join me in celebrating the amazing diversity of life on our planet. Through my art, I aim to encourage people to celebrate the diversity of life and raise awareness, and foster a deeper connection to the amazing creatures that share our world.

'Hope for the Herd' is not just the title. It is to remind all of us how important conservation of animals in this world is important. The increase of elephant poaching has increased so much, that even some elephants have adopted itself evolving without tusks recently.
