ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I am a figurative painter who delights in capturing what is extraordinary in the ordinary. My artistic practice arises from interactions and encounters that provoke wonder and empathy.
I seek to capture gestures, moods, and environments in pencil or gouache, and translate such intuitive artistic expressions into oil paintings. My work is drawn from ephemeral moments of reflection, through which I strive to render a perspective of the world in all its uniqueness and singularity.
