My name is Selen Kaplan. I was born in Turkey. I started fine arts education in high school. Then I got ceramic design education at the university in Turkey. I designed paintings on ceramic surfaces. I started a new life with my family in Ottawa.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I have relaxed myself by drawing all my life. It was not easy to come to Canada and start a new life during the pandemic. That's why life started to look like a labyrinth to me.
These labyrinths are narrated in my paintings. I follow the pictures and continue to draw with mazes. I'm so excited to share these with helloart.
