Fred Oliver studied photography at Ryerson College in Toronto in the late 70’s. He is one of the founding members of the Latow Photographers Guild. The word Latow is a aboriginal word meaning; “ Beam of Light “
An avid photographer for more than thirty five years, Fred realized early in his photographic career that it was the faces of culture that he loved the most. As an award winning photographer he has traveled extensively in pursuit of this passion capturing a wide pallette of subject matter ranging from architecture to wildlife from abstract to pictorial. His images have been published in travel magazines, calenders, book publishers and by national advertising agencies .
Several years ago, Fred decided to partner with two other photographers and started up a Fine Art Photography gallery called Studio-3 , in Burlington. He sells series of limited edition fine art prints which are produced using archival inks and papers. His work is sold in galleries throughout southwestern Ontario.
