It’s not just Black & White: There’s more to it!
Just like there are two sides of a coin, yet the important decisions hold value on which face of a coin you put a bet. Similarly, the most simple things that appear unambiguous are in fact more complicated to decipher.
My black and white abstract with a dapple of red is just an array of thoughts to represent: To see is to believe, to believe is to identify and deduce. There is always more to what you might see and interpret so don’t get disheartened since there is a light at the end of every tunnel. A dash of colour will always be there to ignite the missing spark in whatever you do.

This painting carries a message for all of us. If you look carefully, you will see three factories competing with each other and you will also see an open drain pouring black pollutants at the bottom side of the painting. If you start looking up, you will see the effect of all this in form of dead turtle, fish or a cow skeleton. Red colour represents blood or destruction. More carefully you look, more things you will find. Everything drawn in this painting is emerged from the background colours. I have just highlighted these images repressing life and impact of pollution on our ecosystem.

The Enlightened

He is an epitome of Peace, a spiritual entity, an array of light, a reflection of contentment and a divine soul.
He is “ The Buddha”.
He shoulders the sufferings, pain, distress, sorrows and affliction of the people and world at large. This pain is represented by the ‘Vastra’ ( the white cloth on his shoulder with various representations of living beings in the world). Though he feels the pain and carries burden of agony of people around him, yet there is a divine light on his face depicting that beyond all these sufferings and pain, there is an attainment of love and peace if you practice self control and abstinence. His teachings and preachings are practised worldwide with compassion and resilience. Those who follow his path and are firm believers in his teachings attain “ Bodhisatva”, a path towards awakening of the mind, body and soul: The highest level of Enlightenment.

Puzzle

Life is all jumbled up. True or False?
This is what we see life today. What does it signify?
The nature has given us flora, fauna, birds, animals, seasons, natural habitat and over the period of time, each of these elements of nature has played a vital role in our lives. Over the ages mankind has enjoyed various activities, and explored the warmth of people, friends and families, their pets, worship, love and seeking bliss around them interacting with these elements of nature.
What do we see today: An interrupted silence. Why?
Each one is adept to keeping himself addicted to their own choices. Everyone seems to be occupied in their own thoughts. There is isolation, aggression, impatience and the world seems to be constantly changing. Each one of us is competing in a never ending race resulting in affecting human minds. Technology has overpowered the existence of mankind. Our physical presence is there but not our mind, we see but we don’t cherish the moment, we are hooked on to gadgets to find inner peace.

I have tried to portray this piece of puzzle which our life is surrounded by. The red colour in my painting points out prevalent factors such as aggression, fear, turmoil and agony empowering human minds but the colour blue reflects hope and vision for love, peace and harmony.
You are an answer to my dream, a solution to bring a change in society and make world a better place. Embrace the people, the living beings around you, spend time with family and friends and welcome each day of your life with an open arms to do some good gesture each day. Be the change and the world will change.

The woman in me!
What a dilemma? I am not what I portray myself. Life has engulfed me with various shades of colours, each of the colour left an unforgettable imprint on my mind and body, yet no shade could sweep my identity. I still feel the presence of my individuality in my mind, body and soul.

Outwardly, I appear to be manifested with multitude of colours which are reflected with different phases in my life, some that brought happiness while some left reminisces of trauma. I see things that are agonizing but I overlook, I want to speak out and justify the wrongdoing but just keep silent because I am fulfilling different roles in society and I maintain a decorum to keep everyone happy around me. To me if my small world is happy, I cherish my existence and justify the splash of varied colours in my life.
