Carolina Lafforgue
Born in Mexico City - spent teenage hood in a small town north of Montreal - studied in Alicante (Spain) and Milano (Italy) and lived/ worked in Madrid, Zaragoza (Spain) Lisbon (Portugal) and Mykonos (Greece) before moving back to Canada in 2020 where I feel I belong.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The sense of freedom and at the same time grounding that I experience while doing my fine line artwork is vital to me.
I found in sketching a very personal way to tell my never ending story… inspired by observing at coffee shops or local parks the daily routines of people and nurturing my artwork from the energy of my surroundings.
