I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I have lived in Carleton Place, Kingston, Thornhill and am currently living in Ottawa. I am a self-taught painter whose main medium is acrylic paint, using gesso and modeling paste for texture. I started painting about 3 years ago after discovering abstract painter Lori Mirabelli. Once I saw her large condo painting, I was in absolute ah, and decided right then and there I wanted to start painting. I love to paint large. One of my largest to date is called Radiance 2. It is a triptych with each canvas being 24x36in. Making the total size of the painting 36x72in with out frames and 84x120in with frames. Mixing acrylics, fluids and additives I use a range of methods, from splashing, pouring and dripping paint directly on the canvas while using a mix of traditional brushes and untraditional tools, such as spatulas, newspapers, and rulers, to make sweeping marks. I try to express through my work my natural and intuitive passion for painting and instinctual appreciation for emotional charged color relationships
