ARTIST’S STATEMENT
In my figurative and abstract paintings, I strive to express the mysterious and intangible qualities of nature and human experience, the feelings, sensations and captured moments that can not be easily expressed in words. In my abstract landscapes, often rendered in vivid and surprising colours, I am finding metaphors for human emotion. In my lyrical, non-narrative abstracts, I am capturing a moment allowing the mysterious unconscious to speak through me to things that can not be expressed in words.
