The unexpected colour palettes in A Plea from the Earth challenge the taken-for-granted. and suggest that landscape is invented through our gaze and shaped by human intervention. These fantastical colourscapes draw attention to the grandeur and resilience of nature and also to the delicacy and fragility of the earth. The imagined geography hints at lurking pollution. We must hear the plea to protect and defend the earth. This alternative universe, an alta-verse was created by double exposure and photographic inversion.
