Exhibition History: Amazon Canopy was exhibited in Brazil as part of Institutio Bienal Amazonia, 'Dialogues for the Planet' exhibition, Museu Naval Rio de Janeiro, Brazil'24-'25.

Amazon Canopy is inspired by the immense, layered beauty of the Amazon rainforest as seen from above. Dense vegetation, waterways, mist, and shifting light dissolve into one another, creating a landscape that feels both expansive and intimate.

Deep forest greens and earthy tones emerge through atmospheric passages of pale blue, turquoise, and white, punctuated by touches of yellow and vivid blue. Expressive brushwork and richly layered textures suggest the density and movement of the rainforest—revealing glimpses of what lies beneath while allowing other forms to remain hidden.

Rather than depicting the Amazon literally, the painting evokes the sensation of looking into a vast, living ecosystem: intricate, mysterious, and continually shifting between earth, water, foliage, and sky.
