What we build is part of how we connect to nature and what we imagine to build is as much part of it. This painting is about a concept of a big modern house hovering over a body of water as if it was replacing a mountain. In its beauty and modernity its majestic but is it sustainable, is the real question we should be asking. I personally like modern houses but I like then to be small and efficient. If I had a house it would be modern and open, full of windows and may be even by some body of water but it would not be to replace a mountain.
