Haystacks is a series of 25 paintings Monet did on his neighbor’s farm to study light and atmosphere. I was drawn to how the haystacks he painted look like they’re glowing and was inspired to try a similar style. This scene is from Arches National Park in Utah, a place so beautiful and dear to me.
