This vista of Angel Island, bathed in the peach and pomegranate hues of sunrise over the Raccoon Strait, evokes feelings of rejuvenation and memories of morning light from my early years in the Bay Area, when the future was unwritten and the warm tones stimulated a promise of new beginnings. As an expatriate from the East Coast, these colors create a sense of majesty and awe, along with a sense of renewal and connection to the natural beauty of this stunning locale.
