This particular comic art illustration was painted and drawn based on the Marvel film icon Captain America, but I wanted to be just a bit more creative and motivating. I wanted to make Captain America to look Iconic and Classic at the same time.....and one way to do that is to make him holding an American flag and standing upright for his own country! This artwork had made me spend a lot of time thinking about the posing and the gesture.....as well as the tone of the color. And, luckily, I think I was able to achieve this kind of an impression in the end of my work.
