This painting came together with ease, guided by the intensity of my emotions at the time. Created in 2021, it reflects the complex mix of frustration, resignation, and acceptance that arose as I processed the realities of the pandemic. Alongside these feelings were deeper reckonings with politics and humanity, which found visual expression in the work.

The act of painting became a self-prescribed method of release—a way to work through emotion and arrive at a place of resolution. My hope is that viewers can sense the weight of that moment while also finding space to reflect on acceptance within our shared circumstances.
