Crossing Rapids

On a hike to Hilton Falls during a winter thaw, I came across this icy rapids just before the falls. It was such a sight with trees seeming to be hanging on. It inspired me to paint this wonderful place. The rapids are a metaphor for me. Dare I cross or cling to the edge?
