Dance

Acrylic on professional wrapped canvas.

Dance is a celebration of movement and colour. I see shapes turning and sweeping across the canvas, as if the colours themselves are dancing together. Red brings passion, pink adds warmth, and turquoise and blue carry the movement through the painting. The forms seem to meet, separate, and meet again—each finding its own rhythm.

Process
I built the painting through layers of colour and texture, using broad, sweeping strokes to create a feeling of motion. I worked red, pink, turquoise, and blue into and over one another, allowing some colours to blend while others remain distinct. Scraped and ridged marks catch the eye and give the surface energy. I kept adding and responding to the shapes until the whole canvas felt alive with movement.
