Born in Edmonton, Alberta, formal art training consists of a BFA (with distinction) from University of Alberta, supplemented by summer sessions at the Emma Lake campus of the University of Saskatchewan. Despite having lived in Ontario since that time, aspects of landscape still continue to pervade my work.

I am interested in expressing basic human feelings and emotions such as loneliness, loss, sanctuary, or foreboding. I use the elements of landscape - often touching on memories, dreams, visions - and try to bring together colour, structure, form and surface to develop emotionally-charged imagery
