Story: Dreamland moves between a waking landscape and an imagined world. Dark, twisting trees rise against a luminous sky, their silhouettes revealing human profiles and faces within the branches. The forms seem to watch, meet, and turn toward one another. Blue clouds and pale green-gold light create an atmosphere that feels both familiar and mysterious. The painting suggests how imagination can uncover connections hidden in nature.

Process: I began intuitively, building the sky with layers of blue, green, and yellow before placing the dark tree forms. As the branches developed, faces emerged within their curves; I followed these discoveries rather than planning them in advance. I used silhouettes to hold the composition together and varied the lines to give each tree its own movement. I adjusted the lighter cloud shapes around them to keep the faces visible while preserving the dreamlike space.
