Watercolour on paper (framed).

25x36"

This beautiful Hydrangea was a real study in all hues of blue! It goes from a warm turquoise to vibrant, rich, Cobalt. Transitioning into cool Violet purples. The heavily granulating pigments really creates amazing depth and interesting textures, showcased by the wet in wet painting techniques. The wet in wet painting encouraged the colours to mix and melt on the paper to create new colour variations.

This piece is framed with a very minimal 1/4" dark gray metal frame, chosen to showcase the painting and not to distract from it's sleek & contemporary beauty.
