In the Indio Badlands in California, an abandoned scarf danced in the dusty wind.
From the original photographs of the scarf, this series emerged, a project of invention rather than representation. In Fleeting(ii), the scarf is in deep space where objects float free, oddly suspended, a space where the ordinary everyday is made unfamiliar and otherworldly.

Fleeting (ii) can be mounted with Fleeting (i). Together, they appear reaching for each other with an unexpected and startling sentience.
