'Homage' is a jigsaw puzzle of memories gathered across different moments in my life, from mountain treks beside rivers in India to quiet trails in Canada, where I often come across wildflowers whose name I may never know, yet still feel deeply connected to.
The sky carries the moody colors of the monsoon, with sunlight peeking through the mountains and scattering layers of texture and color across the landscape. The heavily patterned sky and clouds were inspired by the expressive textures of Vincent van Gogh, an artist I continue to admire throughout my own artistic journey. Created entirely using my fingers, allowing each texture and movement to emerge through direct connection with the canvas.
This painting brings together memories I have carried, honoured, and held close over the years, a reflection of places, emotions, and artistic inspirations that continue to remain a part of me.
