A tribute to a geographical location along the Muskoka River, South Branch, Rocky narrows. This maple tree hangs on like a delicate form at the gate of the narrows opening and resides on the rim of the pooled area of water created by the current of the water flowing. It is of particular importance to the flow of the river but developers now own the Rocky Narrows not understanding the fragility and environmental balance of the trees, rocks, creatures and water.
