Second painting of my Australian collection.
Born in 1996 in Saguenay, Lucas Lajoie is a contemporary artist based in Montreal. A graduate in visual arts from the University of Sherbrooke, he draws inspiration from the beauty and simplicity of everyday life. As a former semi-professional athlete, this physical and disciplined experience deeply influences his artistic approach. Coming from an artistic family, his path has also been shaped by the influence of his mother, who is an artist herself.
In 2023, he held his first exhibition, Moment Mirage, during an artistic residency in Paris offered by the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CALQ). Since 2024, Lucas has been exploring new perspectives in Sydney, where he temporarily relocated to accompany his partner. He is currently working on socially engaged projects that aim to provoke reflection, while continuing his practice on an international scale.
