In Metropolis, Andrew explores the intricate journeys of life through the delicate art of origami assemblage, drawing inspiration from his experience as a second-generation Canadian. This piece, composed of meticulously hand-folded origami cranes symbolizes the dynamic motion of new arrivals, the distinct boroughs, and the unique neighbourhoods that together create a harmonious tapestry.

The artist's process is a cathartic, meditative practice. Always striving for perfection, taking joy in the completion of each small task, the culmination of thousands of motions to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
