30x20x0.75"

Limited edition 1 of 1.

This image is printed on canvas, stretched (mirrored gallery-wrap) on a 0.75” wood frame, with a rich, satin finish. My logo is not printed on the canvas; I signed the back of the piece.

I had been photographing full Wolf moonrise earlier the day that I took this pic…. For this photo, the light trails were fun to capture of course, but what’s also super-cool is what appears above! Firstly, the moon - it blends in with the height of other light poles at first glance, but take a closer look - there’s no pole….

Though you really need to check out this enlarged print to see other sky elements of this image, it’s worth it: to the left of the moon, I captured Mars (yes, it looks like a star –– I’d need quite a close-up for it to look like the red planet). A little ways up, in line with Mars is one of the stars (either Pollux or Castor) twins within the Gemini constellation. Further up again and slightly left is another star, Athena, also from Gemini.

Capturing an impressive celestial line-up (literally and figuratively haaa haaa haa), like this is really cool! I never cease to be amazed not just at what I capture, but what I’m interested to learn thanks to what I capture! When I took this pic I knew about the proximity of Mars to the moon, and also how the sky changes minute-by-minute, but I didn’t know about the alignment of the other stars at the same time. Thanks Internet! And HUGE thanks, photography!
