Ocean Blue is inspired by the ocean and shifting field of light capturing the movement, and sensation, where blue, light, and reflection become one.
Expressive oil marks move across the panel, while cuts and exposed textures in the wood become part of the image. These interruptions catch the light and create a glistening, almost tactile surface, suggesting water in motion.
The layered blue hues shift between depth and luminosity, creating a sense of fluidity. The painting sits sin the middle between landscape and abstraction, inviting the viewer to experience the ocean as a place of being, moving, reflecting, and continually changing.
