Over the years my passion for Painting has grown with me. Anything, everything and sometimes even some meaningful nothingness captures me and instills me with the need to pour a piece of myself on canvas. It is a therapy, a mindful relaxation and an outlet for all that I have gathered inside me throughout my life.
Figures, Faces, Memories, the least noticeable of things and sights, sounds, emotions, expressions and illusive perceptions; fragments depictive of various cultures, a static Still life or a roaring ocean .......anything could be a narrative for my paintings.
Although an ardent lover of Oil on canvas; I like experimenting with mixed media with an array of contrasting colour palette and techniques best suited to the painting’s theme.
To quote Thomas Merton:
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”.
