This painting is a resurrection of a beloved piece I first created and donated in 2011 to benefit the African Children's Book Box Society. I had long dreamed of revisiting it—of reclaiming its energy—but what I discovered is that no painting can ever truly be replicated. The act of creation is unrepeatable. Each work exists as a fragment of spirit, a still frame in the sacred cinema of the soul.

The rhino appears as a silhouette in places, bathed in golden sunlight. Her back is a radiant deep pink, while the earth beneath her comes alive in a kaleidoscope of colour. Viewed at eye level, she is both grounded and transcendent.

The title, *Part Rhino, Part Butterfly*, speaks to the paradox within us all—strength and fragility, weight and flight, root and metamorphosis.

The original was gifted from the heart, and this one—reborn—is a reminder that even what we release can return to us transformed.
