“River Beat” brings together rhythm, structure, and the energy of music within the natural environment.

Seated beside Galway Bay, a drummer plays against the movement of the water and the layered landscape surrounding him. Strong angular lines run throughout the composition, connecting the figure, shoreline, and background, creating a visual rhythm that echoes the beat of the drum.

Warm ochres and oranges contrast with cooler blues and whites, giving the painting energy while the fragmented shapes create movement across the surface.
