Scream redefined the horror genre and invigorated life into a somewhat dying form of film. Billy Loomis and Stu Macher (Skeet Ulrich and Mathew Lillard) are two of the most recognizable faces among slasher fans. I love seeing reactions from fans when they see my work, and this one is no exception. So many people have told me how much they love this film and how it brings back so many chilling and fun memories.
My goal was to capture their overall eerie and complementary behaviors. I love pumping out the brighter colors and in this one, I added hints of green to elude to the Stab movies that eventually become canon within the movies. The overall portraits are intended to be more clean and smooth lines and blending while the blood is scratched and roughly scraped on to bring more dissonance to the overall image.
