As I continued my exploration of the human subject this image came to me. As I worked on her the title, Shimmer stuck in my mind.

Shimmer is a mixed media painting on illustration board.

In this work I explore human emotion that also evokes a feeling of wonder. A moment where I hoped the view would think, what is she thinking? What is she looking at?

Again in this piece I was going for a dreamy and magical presence.

Shimmer, is hand-drawn and painted. There are no digital effects. She is created with all archival materials.
