Oil and ink on canvas.

36x46"

This work presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the Dominican Cojuelo Devil, fusing it with biomechanical elements to give life to an organic-robotic warrior. The central figure, with an imposing and aggressive posture, maintains zoomorphic and demonic features, with a sharp smile and pointed ears that evoke the traditional iconography of the folkloric character. However, his body, instead of being covered with the colorful clothes and bladders characteristic of the carnival, is transformed into a hybrid armor of metal and organic fabric.

The artist reinterprets the tradition through a cyberpunk and expressionist aesthetic, where the black and white strokes on a vibrant red background generate an effect of tension and dynamism. The character's arms, disproportionate and with sharp endings, suggest an evolution towards the posthuman, where cultural identity is reconfigured in a technological and futuristic context.
