A visual chronicle of humanity’s relationship with nature, framed within the form of a clocktower, an enduring symbol of time, accountability, and irreversible progression. Each section represents a distinct era, revealing how civilizations once lived in balance with the Earth, honouring its rhythms, abundance, and presence.

The upper circular form acts as the “face of time,” divided between harmony and destruction. On one side, nature thrives; lush landscapes, flowing water, animals, and human figures coexisting in reverence. On the other, the industrial age emerges in stark contrast: monochromatic cities, mechanization, pollution, and fragmentation, illustrating the moment progress began to overpower preservation. This division marks the turning point where time, once an ally, becomes a warning.

Below, the two arched panels mirror choice and consequence. The left shows a barren, storm-stricken world stripped of life, symbolizing environmental collapse and neglect. The right presents renewal, trees bending gently toward light, water restored, and life reemerging, offering hope that healing remains possible. These opposing paths emphasize that the future shaped by collective action.

Ornamental architectural details evoke ancient civilizations, reminding us that humanity has always been capable of building beauty without destruction. The gold elements throughout the piece symbolize value, not of wealth or power, but of the Earth itself; precious, finite, and often taken for granted.

Ultimately, this work serves as both reflection and warning. Time is not merely passing, it is watching. The clocktower stands as a silent witness to our past choices and a call to transform our present, urging us to change before the final hour arrives.
